Fundraising Manager - South Western Ontario

SCOPE: Full Time Permanent

WAGE: $16-$18/Hour (Based on experience)


Public Outreach

Public Outreach is a fundraising consultancy that works with charities to develop healthy and sustainable monthly donor programs. We specialize in face-to-face fundraising, which includes street, door, and malls.

With 13 fundraising offices across Canada We also represent health charities, environmental organizations, human rights groups and humane societies. We are the “country's leading exponent of street fundraising” (National Post) and in our brief history we have generated the equivalent of $85 M for the charities we serve.

PURPOSE

Public Outreach South-Western Ontario Region requires an organized, self-directed fundraising manager with two years fundraising, management or related experience, to oversee our day-to-day street, door and mall fundraising programs. We are currently looking for a manager to oversee Kitchener, London, or Hamilton. Excellent candidates will also be considered for the dual role of managing a local office (Kitchener, London, or Hamilton) as well as overseeing operations of the entire South-Western Ontario Region.

DUTIES

- Overseeing an appropriate recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation program to ensure that standards are achieved and contracts completed within an agreed upon timeline.

- Overseeing staff scheduling, turf management and ensuring that all staff are actively fundraising to the levels spelled-out in their job descriptions.

- Coordinating the efforts of the supervisors, trainers and administrative staff – through regular meetings and honest, consistent communication – to best service both the clients, and the donors.

- Maintain a personal level of fundraising, which is at least 35% of overall time worked.

- Ensuring that all donations are accurate, complete, confidential and delivered to the client in the appropriate manner.

- Obtaining permits and licenses where necessary from the respective municipal authorities and ensuring good working relations within the community.

- Have good oral communication and facilitation skills.

- Have experience recruiting, training and managing staff

- Be motivated to go out and fundraise with the team on a regular basis

- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
