FUNDRAISING MANAGER
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

We're building a team of Canadian and US staff to launch our Seattle office in March/April. The team will begin fundraising in Seattle on behalf of one of the worlds largest children’s international development charities. If this test is successful the team will branch out to other cities, possibly San Francisco, New York, and Chicago!

This is THE opportunity for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to oversee set up, training, recruiting, and successful street fundraising for our very first office in the US.


Positions Required For Seattle, WA

1 - Fundraising Manager, 3 Team Leaders

As Fundraising Manager, the ideal candidate has management experience in a face to face fundraising operation, and possesses an intuitive understanding of staff management such as recruiting, morale, project management and other skills required for the successful running of a fundraising office.

The position of Team Leader is a mid level management position responsible for start up, training, and managing street fundraising teams at various public locations. The ideal Team Leader has previous face to face fundraising experience, demonstrated fundraising success, as well as an aptitude for managing staff.

Phone Interviews will begin the week of February 25, 2008 and will continue into the first week of March.

Paid Training will be conducted in one of our larger Canadian offices (Vancouver or Toronto) with travel, meals, accommodations, per diem etc. covered.

DUTIES
- Overseeing an appropriate recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation program to ensure that standards are achieved and contracts completed within an agreed upon timeline.

- Overseeing staff scheduling, turf management and ensuring that all staff are actively fundraising to the levels spelled-out in their job descriptions.

- Coordinating the efforts of the supervisors, trainers and administrative staff – through regular meetings and honest, consistent communication – to best service both the clients, and the donors.

- Fundraising on behalf of the charity;- Fostering an environment of honesty, respect, and effectiveness (while not forgetting to have fun!)

- Ensuring that all donations are accurate, complete, confidential and delivered to the client in the appropriate manner.

- Obtaining permits and licenses where necessary from the respective municipal authorities and ensuring good working relations within the community.

Calgary Fundraising Manager: March 2008

Overview
Mark Watson, the current Fundraising Manager will be leaving Calgary in April, so we are hiring his replacement for the office in March.

The Calgary fundraising office is THE professional development experience waiting to happen for the right candidate. This office has the most potential for growth and success. This is a wonderful opportunity for the individual who is organized and self-directed, and who has successfully demonstrated their ability to manage fundraising response, volume, and admin efficiency. As a manager the ideal candidate has an intuitive understanding of staff morale and other aspects of staff management, as well as recruiting, project planning and project management, new client start-up, and other skills required for the successful running of a Fundraising office.

- Obtaining permits and licenses where necessary from the respective municipal authorities and ensuring good working relations within the community.
